My name is Nancy Kopman. I’m a recording artist and Early Childhood Educator. My music is used by parents, caregivers and educators as a tool to teach young children. My focus is to make learning fun, meaningful and memorable.

In my work with families, I focus a great deal on developing the relationship between parents and their children. My views on the natural benefits of nurturing this bond extend into my priorities regarding the treatment of animals and their offspring. As a consumer, it feels great to find quality companies that preserve animal rights. I’m not only happy to have found Yoso’s delicious products, I’m proud to support their ideals.

We asked a few questions about her dairy-free lifestyle as part of this series, Living Dairy Free:

Why are you dairy-free?

Learning about the conditions under which various dairy products are produced concerns me. Avoiding dairy, for me, is more about a sense of my personal responsibilities, than a “lifestyle choice”. I don’t miss dairy at all!

Top five favourite dairy-free products?

Michelle’s Rawfoodz dressings, dips and spreads

Bio Raw Salads

Yoso Premium Creamy Cultured Almond & Cashew

Nud Fud’s variety of crackers

Giddy Yo Yo mint chocolate bars

My favourite local spot to eat that accommodates dairy-free

HANDS DOWN “Live”. Eating their food is like ingesting a work of art…You can’t help but feel good about everything they create–and the owner/staff are some of the nicest, most considerate people you’ll ever meet!

Favourite place to shop for groceries?

Ambrosia (Doncaster, east of Yonge)
